For every practice
- Practise sitting or lying down in a safe place.
- Never practise while driving, operating machinery, swimming, bathing, or in or near water.
- Breathe without straining. If you feel dizzy, tingly, short of breath or uncomfortable, stop and breathe normally.
- If you are pregnant or have a health condition, talk to your doctor before you start.
- The rhythm in a video is an invitation, not an obligation. You can always take shorter breaths or pause.
- After the practice, sit for a moment before you stand up, and do not drive until you feel fully alert.
Slow nose breathing without breath holds (Scorpio – Deep Water Breath)
- Scorpio is a slow, calm practice: you breathe through the nose at about 6–7.5 breaths per minute, with no breath holds and no fast breathing.
- Breathe comfortably – never force the air or the rhythm. If the rhythm feels too long, take shorter breaths or simply listen.
- The practice may feel relaxing or make you sleepy. Do not practise when you need to stay alert.
Rhythmic mouth breathing with breath holds (Solar Breath)
Please read before you practise. This session is more intense than a calm slow-breathing session: it has rounds of rhythmic mouth breathing, each followed by a breath hold.
- Practise sitting or lying down in a safe place. Do not practise standing.
- Never practise while driving, operating machinery, swimming, bathing, or in or near water, or anywhere fainting could hurt you.
- Never force a breath hold. The countdown shows the planned hold duration (30, 45 and 60 seconds), not a suitable or safe limit for you. You can end the hold at any time and breathe normally.
- Faster breathing can cause dizziness, light-headedness or tingling in the hands or around the mouth. If you feel uncomfortable, stop the exercise, skip or end the hold and breathe normally.
- If you are pregnant, or have epilepsy or another seizure condition, a heart, lung or blood pressure condition, have fainted before or have panic attacks, talk to your doctor first. If in doubt, skip the faster rounds and the holds.
- If you are new to breathing practices, start by listening without the holds, or with a calm slow-breathing session (for example Scorpio – Deep Water Breath, when it is available).
- After the session, sit for a moment before you stand up.

Holding the breath after rhythmic breathing can cause fainting. Never practise standing or anywhere a fall could cause injury.
Sounds and frequencies
The tones used in the videos (for example Hans Cousto’s planetary tones in Scorpio) are artistic and symbolic. They are not recordings from planets, and no healing effect has been proven. With headphones, listen at a moderate volume.
